THE CROWTHER GALE APPROACH

Crowther Gale Associates was formed in 1976 to respond to the developing concern with Quality Assurance in the engineering, process and contracting industries.

Our principal consultant is Hugh C. Dent, who left the firm of manufacturing engineers to form Crowther, Gale Associates. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and a Registered Quality Lead Auditor.

Crowther, Gale Associates was one of the first consultancies to be listed under the original QAAS scheme, and, since that time, has successfully completed many assignments in quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, product development and sales and marketing..

We are one of the first Sole Practitioner Management Consultancies to be assessed and registered according to ISO 9001.

Most companies are aware that potential for improvement must exist within their organisation. However, management, in both large and small companies, rarely has the time or resource to undertake a totally objective review of operational performance, nor to determine and challenge the existence of excess costs.

We provide the necessary additional independent management expertise and resource to make an assessment of existing control procedures, and the experience to propose and implement solutions.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality assurance is an essential part of management control, and so is applicable to all businesses.

ISO 9000 requires a written quality management system, so we develop manuals and detailed procedures, using as a starting point the client's own systems.

We do not make unnecessary changes.

We advise on any necessary modifications, and monitor the modified systems.

TRAINING

We institute training courses in quality improvement methods, writing of manuals and procedures, design control and auditing methods. The courses are generally run on clients' premises, but venues away from the distractions of the work place can also be set up.
