Have we lost or damaged it ?
These are goods which may be provided by the customer (or his agent), normally free of charge, for incorporation into the product. The existence of "free issue" products will only be relevant to certain companies, however it should be remembered that items returned to the company for repair or rectification are also within this category.
These items should be recorded on receipt, with any unacceptable elements recorded and advised to the customer.
Should the items become lost, damaged or unserviceable, while in the company's control, the problem should again be recorded and advised to the customer. The items belong to the customer.
